Alternative funding!

The road toll was of great concern during the Easter Holidays in 1977.

Due to testing for driver/alcohol related driving introduced in 1976 it was in 1977 that the first reliable records were available. At the time 49% of driver deaths were related to .05 and overuse of alcohol. Other issues needed attention as well.
