Frustration...

A frustrated President Jimmy Carter tried many embargos to try to achieve the release of the Tehran US Embassy hostages. It was not until the Inauguration Day of incoming President Ronald Reagan on January 20. 1981 that after being kept in the US Embassy in Tehran for 444 days the 52 US hostages were set free. Former President Jimmy Carter as Ronald Reagan's emissary flew to greet them in West Germany as his last official act.
