Bedfellows?

There were attempts during the build up to the ALP National Conference at the start of June 1988 to relax the ALP's policy on new Uranium mines. Denison Mines, the owner of one of the new mines proposed, had already negotiated the sale of its uranium under a deal with the local Aboriginal community and there was a proposal for some of them to attend the ALP conference to argue the cause for the mine.
