Boom!

In August, 1986 after a so called 'bitter' debate Labor Caucus endorsement had allowed the sales of uranium to resume.

At this June 1988 National Conference it was agreed in the so-called 'France clause' that stockpiles of uranium could be sold. However discussion still proceeded and future contracts were banned. A Uranium Policy Review Committee was set up with a report to be tabled before the end of 1989.
