Facing the change!
After the dramatic defeat of the Australian Men's Team by the West Indies in
the November and December test matches and the success of the Australian
Women's Cricket team, captained by Lynette Larsen, when they won the Women's
World Cup defeating England Women by 8 wickets on 18th December, 1988, the
somewhat conservative Australian cricket establishment had to admit that the
Cricket world had changed. Just perhaps, behind closed doors, they also started
considering some radical solutions!
