Living in the big city...Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and Opposition Leader Malcolm Fraser opposed each other on the coming capitulation of South Vietnam. As Prime Minister Whitlam was the impetus for diplomatic correspondence from Canberra and subsequent results. South Vietnam surrendered on 30th April, 1975. |
